Turning Heads (and Lanyards) on the Gold Coast

Retail Fest 2025 wasn’t just another event. It was a full-force celebration of the retail and eCommerce industry. Held over three buzzing days at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, it brought together innovators, leaders, and disruptors. And right there with them? Tall Bob.

Our team hit the ground running. We jumped into 1:1 hosted meetings and roamed the floor to connect with brands, delegates, and decision-makers. No booth, no barriers—just real, face-to-face chats that went beyond surface-level intros.

Retail Fest gave us a great chance to walk customers through what’s next on our roadmap, and help others think more strategically about SMS and MMS. We also had some great chats about RCS and where it’s heading, and it’s clear there’s a lot of interest in what comes next.

Conversations That Count

At Tall Bob, we’re all about helping brands connect better with their customers. Retail Fest provided us with the perfect space to meet people where they were, from on-the-go chats to hosted sit-downs; we heard it loud and clear. Brands are ready to move beyond the basics. We also teamed up with Thread Together to put purpose behind the presence. Through our partnership, we turned LinkedIn posts into real-world impact. Every eligible post triggered a $10 donation from Tall Bob to help provide brand new wardrobes to those in need.

Retail Fest was more than just keynotes and panels. The atmosphere was open, energised, and refreshingly unscripted. You could feel the vibe, and people were there to learn, share, and build something together. From hallway catch-ups to after-hours chats, there was a strong sense of community, and every moment felt like an opportunity to connect and collaborate, not just collect leads.
